Overview The Center for Life Sciences Education (CLSE) within the College of Arts and Sciences at The Ohio State University seeks to fill an open semester Lecturer position. The CLSE is home to the largest major within the College of Arts & Sciences with 2,400+ majors. The new lecturer will join a diverse and interdisciplinary community on the main campus in Columbus, Ohio. This position will begin Spring 2026 and is open to individuals with a background in Biological and/or related Life Science areas.

Responsibilities

Teach or lead up to four introductory Biology lab-based or related recitation courses (examples: Biology 1101, 1110, 1113, 1114, and 3401).

Lead course discussions, oversee teaching lab experiments, hold office hours, and complete related grading and other course-related tasks as assigned.

Possibly assist with general biology course coordination.

Qualifications

Required: Ph.D. in Biology or a related life science discipline.

Strong commitment to teaching at all levels.

Desired: Strong communication and public speaking skills.
