The individual will be expected to lead course discussions, assist with overseeing teaching lab experiments, hold office hours, coordination, and complete related grading and other course related tasks as assigned.The lecturer will advance the learning-based research mission through mentoring undergraduate students in and personally conducting research on bacterial transport of novel sugars used for growth.

This includes performing targeted gene deletions and growth analyses of model E. coli organisms predicted to be involved in sugar transport, as well as performing kinetic analyses of sugar transport through pulse-chase experiments. The lecturer will assist with manuscript writing for publication of research findings and mentoring undergraduate students in scientific writing and communication.**Required:** Candidates must hold a Masters degree in Microbiology or released biological science discipline. Candidates must have strong commitment to teaching at all levels. Attachment of most recent CV is required.**How to Apply**
