Position: School Psychologist

Location: Phoenix, AZ
Salary: $41,000.00 - $44,000.00 per year
Position Overview The School Psychologist provides evaluation, consultative, and counseling services in the school setting. Lead psycho‑educational evaluations and guide multidisciplinary teams in identifying students eligible for special education services.
Essential Functions
Lead the multidisciplinary evaluation team (MET) through the evaluation process.
Complete comprehensive evaluations and use professional judgment to identify areas requiring additional data.
Participate in Legacy Traditional School non‑violent crisis response team if trained.
Conduct classroom observations for special education evaluation, child study team (CST), and consultative processes.
Prepare cohesive and timely evaluation reports.
Interpret assessment data and communicate it to parents and MET members.
Identify students’ needs and develop programming recommendations based on outcomes.
Lead the school team in the development and implementation of behavior plans.
Lead the school’s pre‑referral intervention team.
Provide counseling services aligned with students’ IEPs/504 plans.
Provide school‑based counseling in accordance with pre‑referral intervention or informally.
Facilitate training on relevant topics as needed.
Provide consultative services to teachers and administrators regarding behavioral and academic concerns.
Respond to all internal and external customers promptly, efficiently, and patiently.
Maintain courteous relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community, treating all with respect.
Be active on campus, including lifting, standing, sitting, moving, and traveling to other campuses as required, and participating in events outside normal hours.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Master’s or higher degree.
School Psychologist certification of the state in which the position is located.
Must pass a criminal history background check.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience conducting psycho‑educational evaluations.
Knowledge of IDEA and K‑8 special education programming.
Hybrid Model The model follows a four‑day on‑campus, one‑day remote work schedule. Remote days must be approved by the principal in advance, are limited to non‑student‑facing work such as report writing and compliance documentation, and must not interfere with testing, IEP meetings, or urgent student needs.
Other Requirements
Physical demands include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds, and occasional lifting of equipment or materials up to 40 pounds.
Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods, see/read a computer screen and printed material, hear and understand speech at normal levels, speak in audible tones, and follow oral and written instructions.
