FT Temp RN Days/Nights – $55/hr
Vantage Point Behavioral Health Hospital, Fayetteville, AR – 114‑bed behavioral health facility, Joint Commission accredited.
We are looking for passionate Registered Nurses to provide care in a supportive environment with growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
Develop and implement nursing care plans.
Maintain medical records and educate patients and their families about various physical and behavioral health conditions.
Provide nursing care within the scope of nursing practice as defined by state Nurse Practice Act, policies, procedures, and protocols.
Ensure physicians’ orders are legible and transcribed appropriately.
Assess patients’ status continuously and document pertinent information.
Notify physicians of significant changes in status such as difficulties with detox, medical emergency, or medication response.
Complete initial nursing treatment plans upon admission and ensure they are specific to assessed needs.
Demonstrate knowledge of universal precautions during direct patient care.
Accurately administer medications per ordered notes.
Document controlled substance medication counts accurately.
Complete admission and discharge processing efficiently.
Establish therapeutic rapport while maintaining professional boundaries.
Coordinate unit activities as directed.
Communicate professionally with patients, visitors, co‑workers, and others involved in inpatient treatment.
Required Qualifications
Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of employment or eligibility to practice nursing in the state.
Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; prior psychiatric, mental, behavioral, or substance use nursing experience is a plus.
CPR and de‑escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire at facility).
First aid certification may be required based on state or facility requirements.
