Seeking Research Technicians to assist with Northern Bobwhite trapping, radio‑telemetry tracking, and nest checking as part of larger experimental studies. Includes data entry, equipment maintenance, and other duties requested by supervisors. Selected individuals will also gain opportunities to interact directly with the Georgia DNR. Employees will work with minimal supervision, independently on site, and should be comfortable occasionally working alone after dark. Previous experience with radio‑telemetry is desired; knowledge of Microsoft Excel, databases, and ArcGIS is preferred. Responsibilities
Trapping quail Tracking quail via radio‑telemetry Data entry Equipment maintenance Travel between sites Qualifications
Required: Interest in game bird management and ecology Good driving record Understanding of consumptive wildlife management practices Positive attitude and willingness to be a team player Preferred: Experience pulling trailers Operation of UTVs Previous game‑bird work experience Previous telemetry, field research, and computer experience Education
Working toward a bachelor’s degree in wildlife management or a closely related field. Physical Demands
Lift up to 50 lbs for brief periods; work in inclement weather; driving required. Background Investigation Policy
