Part Time Sanitation Technician – Vermont Smoke &︎ Cure We are a Vermont‑based production facility that crafts premium meat sticks. We seek a detail‑oriented, fast‑paced team member to uphold our strict hygiene standards.

Job Summary Sanitation Team Members perform routine cleaning and sanitation of all equipment, machinery, and production areas. Responsibilities include sanitizing surfaces, waste disposal, and adherence to safety protocols.

Shift & Compensation

Location: On‑site facility, Hinesburg, VT.

Shifts: Saturday & Sunday, 3:30 PM–11:00 PM; Tuesday & Wednesday, 3:30 PM–11:00 PM. Candidates may work all four days or one shift set.

Pay: $21.00 / hour + 10% weekday shift differential, 20% weekend shift differential.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize utensils, equipment, and interior production areas.

Disassemble, clean, and sanitize equipment per established procedures.

Operate cleaning equipment (foamers, pressure washers, floor scrubbers, etc.).

Prepare and apply chemicals at proper concentrations.

Clean common areas, restrooms, dressing rooms.

Empty trash bins/barrels and transport waste to disposal sites.

Follow quality management standards, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Prior sanitation experience, ideally in food production or mechanical equipment handling.

Competencies

Conscientious & Detail‑Oriented – meticulous cleaning, proper chemical handling, strict adherence to sanitation protocols.

Strong Work Ethic & Reliability – dependable during overnight shifts, consistently meets deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Team Player – builds trusting relationships with colleagues and promotes a respectful, collaborative workplace.

Physical Demands

Regularly sit, stand, or walk for long periods.

Regularly bend and lift up to 50 lb (occasionally 25 lb repeatedly).

Excellent hand‑eye coordination; frequent verbal communication.

Exposure to cleaning chemicals; work in 38 °F temperature, wet conditions.

Mental Demands

Use oral communication skills, learn and apply new information rapidly.

Exhibit poise, tact, and diplomacy when interacting with team members.

Visually discern quality and cleanliness; uphold food safety requirements.

Working Conditions

Primary location: manufacturing plant and office environment.

Primary language: English (training materials provided in English).
