Position Summary The Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing front desk duties during the night shift and ensuring guest payments are posted and all accounts are reconciled for the day. Essential Job Functions

Maintain a friendly, professional, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.

Accurately answer inquiries from potential guests and accept reservations.

Resolve guest problems and complaints efficiently, demonstrating a sense of urgency.

Respond to telephone and in‑person inquiries regarding reservations, hotel information and guest concerns in a timely fashion.

Use suggestive selling techniques to increase occupancy and revenue.

Allocate rooms to expected arrivals after checking guest preferences and special requests.

Ensure phone calls, wake‑up calls and messages for guests are handled promptly.

Cross‑check all billing instructions for accuracy.

Handle group arrivals and pre‑register each guest.

Ensure payments are made or on file for each guest and that billing is routed correctly for groups.

Complete cash transactions and keep full responsibility for the personal bank.

Read and update the front desk log.

Follow safety procedures and report suspicious activity.

Balance accounts from the day shift.

Verify all payment methods are current and correspond to the rooms on file.

Post transactions from outlets to appropriate rooms or ledger accounts.

Confirm that all end‑of‑day work has been performed.

Ensure the M3 system is balanced and report any discrepancies.

Enter room cleans in Hotel Effectiveness.

Attend meetings as required.

Experience and Education

Experience in customer service, front‑line hospitality or related roles.

Preferred: Prior experience as a front desk agent or night auditor.

Proficiency with PMS such as Quore, PBX and other hotel systems.

Proficient in Microsoft 365 or similar applications.

Minimum high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality or related major preferred.
