Job Summary
Intake specialists are Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHP) who provide services to individuals diagnosed with severe mental illnesses. They complete a variety of clinical assessments with clients to determine eligibility of services and, if criteria are met, coordinate ongoing care.
Key Responsibilities
Assess psychiatric need
Gather psychosocial history
Evaluate individual strengths, needs, and goals
Define and facilitate desired life outcomes
Coordinate and manage client crises when they arise
Identify potential service gaps and advocate with providers to ensure services are appropriate and adequate to clients' needs and preferences
The Ideal Candidate
Interested in working with adults with severe mental illness
Interested in learning more about clinical diagnosis
Interested in gaining clinical experience for advanced licensure

Self‑motivated, independent, flexible, and appreciates variety in workday

Organized, reliable, and skilled in time management

Education and Licensure
Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Current and valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Experience
Bilingual preferred.
Hours and Salary
Full‑time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
Salary: $24.18–$25.39 an hour, based on education.
