Intake specialists are Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHP) who provide services to individuals diagnosed with severe mental illnesses who may also have co-occurring substance use disorders and/or chronic health conditions. Intake specialists complete a variety of clinical assessments with clients to determine eligibility of services. If criteria is met, the intake specialist will coordinate on-going care.
Intake specialists utilize a person-centered, trauma-informed, recovery focused approach to forge therapeutic relationships with racially and culturally diverse individuals:
To assess their psychiatric needs
To gather psychosocial history
To evaluate individual strengths, needs, and goals
To define and facilitate desired life outcomes
Coordinate and manage client crises when they arise
Identify potential service gaps and advocate with providers to ensure services are appropriate and adequate to clients' needs and preferences
The ideal candidate is someone who:
Would like to work in both an office based and community based setting
Is interested in working with adults with severe mental illness
Is interested in learning more about clinical diagnosis
Someone interested in gaining clinical experience for advance licensure
Appreciates a faced past environment
Is self‑motivated, independent, flexible, and appreciates variety in their work day
Communicates effectively and professionally
Is organized, reliable, and skilled in time management
Most importantly, is looking for a career that makes a real difference in peoples' lives Intake specialists work under general supervision of the unit manager and/or the LPHA supervisor with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment
Intake specialists who are master's Level clinicians are eligible for clinical supervision towards advance licensure from a board‑certified supervisor, while employed with Integral Care. Intake specialists who are master's Level clinicians will have an opportunity to provide living skills training to clients under the supervision of an LPHA.
Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.

Education:
Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree with a major specialization in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field. Master's degree preferred.
Licenses:
Current and valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
Experience: Hours: Full-Time
Workdays: Monday - Friday
Workhours: 8:00AM - 5:00PM
Salary $24.18- $25.39 an hour based on education.
