Base pay range $17.63/hr - $18.25/hr
Job Details
Position Type: Full-Time/Hourly (Non‑Exempt)
Pay Range: $17.63–$18.25 per hour (based on skills and experience)
Work Location: Onsite – Sterling, IL 61081
Shift: 4:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Travel: 5%
Key Responsibilities
Maintain clean, safe work areas and respond promptly to maintenance‑related incidents.
Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs in electrical, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and painting.
Properly dispose of waste and scrap materials following safety and environmental regulations.
Order required parts, tools, and supplies to support facility and equipment maintenance.
Accurately document maintenance and repair activities, including time and material costs.
Support the maintenance team with daily tasks and facility improvement projects.
Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
Assist with facility upgrades such as painting, drywall, fixture installation, and light carpentry.
Move materials, equipment, or furniture throughout the facility as needed.
Follow all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills/Competencies
Facility and equipment maintenance
Basic troubleshooting and repair skills
Preventive maintenance practices
Ability to interpret work instructions and maintenance guidelines
Strong manual dexterity
Ability to lift and move heavy objects
Physical stamina and dependability
Qualifications (Required)
0–2 years of experience in facility, equipment, or building maintenance
General knowledge of basic maintenance disciplines (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, etc.)
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
Ability to push/pull up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand for extended periods
Frequent bending and stooping
Manual dexterity for handling small parts and tools
Ability to work in noisy environments
Ability to work in confined spaces
Ability to work from elevated platforms
