Job Summary The Conference Coordinator at the Kentucky Transportation Center is responsible for managing all aspects of training events, including frequent travel across the state. Key duties involve developing training schedules, securing instructors and venues, and working with UK Purchasing to finalize contracts. The coordinator oversees the setup of equipment, preparing materials, and venue arrangements, while also communicating with instructors and participants. They handle registrations, payments, and ensure excellent customer service. Additional responsibilities include administrative and grading tests and expense processing. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing situations. Effective communication with vendors, speakers, and team members is essential, as is the capacity to handle both online and in-person courses efficiently. Flexibility and decision‑making under pressure are crucial to ensure the success of each event.
