Responsibilities
Provide social work services to address medically related psychosocial and environmental problems of patients and families.
Implement interventions during hospitalization and/or outpatient treatment, including initial assessment, mental health disorder identification, brief behavioral health interventions, and information referral.
Offer educational support to staff and maintain positive working relationships with vendors and external agencies for patient services.
Clinically assess and treat emotional and mental health issues, diagnosing under direct supervision of a licensed LCSW social worker.
Assess data reflective of a patient’s status and interpret information relative to age‑specific needs.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Social Work.
One year of current experience in a clinic, hospital, medical setting, or healthcare field preferred.
Knowledge of adjustment to medical diagnosis and chronic disease.
Strong communication skills to interact with patients, families, providers, and allied health staff.
Psychosocial diagnostic skills and ability to coordinate transition of care.
Active license through the Arizona State Board of Behavioral Health Service Examiners; Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) required.
Compensation & Schedule Salary: $68,099 - $102,232 per year Schedule: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Weekend: Every 4th weekend (Saturday/Sunday). Hours/Pay Period: 80
