TES Administrative Support Specialist Position at Auburn University – Nursing Division, College of Nursing. Requisition Number: TES3125P. Estimated hours per week: 20-40. Anticipated length of assignment: until 09/30/2027.

Job Summary The College of Nursing is hiring a TES Administrative Support Specialist to provide high‑level administrative and technical support. The role focuses on complex administrative tasks, particularly reviewing, negotiating, and administering affiliation agreements that establish partnerships with external organizations for student placements, experiential learning, and collaborative initiatives. The Specialist will ensure all agreements comply with laws, regulations, and university policies, protect Auburn University’s financial and legal interests, and align with the Signature Authority Policy for appropriate approval and execution.

Essential Functions

Performs specialized technical duties and coordinates processes.

Assists with the review, negotiation, and execution of university contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable law and policy.

Reviews and verifies documentation for completeness and compliance with policies and procedures.

Assists in the development and maintenance of data and databases.

Coordinats agreement terms with campus stakeholders and negotiates with external parties.

Monitors existing university contracts to ensure covenants are kept, intellectual property exchange is followed, and terms do not lapse.

Reviews and explains applicable state and federal laws and regulations, university policy, and administrative opinions related to Auburn University contracts.

Provides guidance and training to faculty and staff on university contracting.

Manages the contract management system; establishes and maintains standard contract routing and approval procedures.

Monitors contract periods and seeks renewal prior to expiration.

Requests and maintains certificate of insurance for all contracts and agreements.

Performs a variety of clerical duties, including typing & correspondence, filing, recordkeeping, data entry, form preparation/processing, calendar and scheduling, mail distribution, travel/expense vouchers, telephone, supplies/inventory, limited supervision of clerical or student work, and other support duties of similar difficulty.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

4 years of extensive knowledge of administrative support rules, precedents, and procedures.

Graduate degrees may be accepted in lieu of experience.

Posting Detail Information Salary Range: $17.68 – $28.51 per hour.

Work Hours: 7:45 a.m. – 4:45 p.m., hours subject to variation.

Location: Auburn, AL.
