Join Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) as an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) in the Inpatient Hepatobiliary Surgery Service. You will manage post‑operative care, address complications, and collaborate with surgeons, fellows, and the multidisciplinary team.
Role Overview You will be at the forefront of managing post‑operative care and complication resolution for hepatic and biliary surgery patients. As part of a large APP team, you will have the opportunity to influence patient outcomes and advance your career in a supportive, innovative environment.
Key Qualifications
Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations (or equivalent)
Master’s degree in nursing with prescriptive privileges, or graduate from an accredited PA program
Minimum 2 + years of relevant clinical experience; inpatient surgery preferred (PA: 0‑1 + years in surgical oncology)
National NP or PA certification (NP: related NP certification; PA: NCCPA)
BLS/ACLS certification
Active NYS license or qualification for state licensure
Core Skills
Strong decision‑making and multitasking abilities
Effective communication with patients and interdisciplinary teams
Adaptability in dynamic clinical situations
Collaborative partnership with physicians and other healthcare professionals
Proficiency in patient education and implementation of clinical support programs
Additional Information
Location: 1275 York Ave, NY, NY 10032
Hours: 12.5‑hour shifts, 6 a‑6:30 p m; weekend rotation may be required
Reports to: Associate Director, APP
Pay Range: $155,500 – $197,400 annually
This role does not include OR time
