On‑Site at New Century, KS About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced EHS Manager to lead environmental health and safety initiatives at our New Century plant. In this role, you’ll develop and implement strategies that reduce risk, improve compliance, and embed a culture of safety and sustainability across the site. You’ll work closely with Supply Chain teams to deliver measurable improvements in safety performance and environmental impact, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This is a high‑impact leadership role where you’ll influence senior management, drive continuous improvement, and champion our sustainability agenda. What You’ll Do
Deploy global and regional EHS strategies, policies, and standards at the site level. Lead EHS teams to deliver Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental results. Conduct risk assessments and implement controls to reduce safety and environmental risks. Oversee initiatives to reduce environmental impact (waste, emissions, water, and energy usage). Support the deployment of Process Safety Management (PSM) and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Monitor legal compliance and advise on national EHS legislation; implement relevant procedures and policies. Partner with Occupational Health to mitigate risks related to employee health. Lead internal safety and crisis committees; manage serious incident investigations and root cause analysis. Conduct trend analysis from incidents, near misses, and audits; implement corrective actions. Develop and deploy internal EHS auditing and inspection systems; participate in cross‑site audits. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations (SPCC, SWPPP, Air Permits, Wastewater Permits, EPCRA, etc.). Support sustainability initiatives and ESG data collection for manufacturing practices. Oversee site security operations and access control systems. Identify EHS training needs and assist in program delivery. About You
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety Management, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical). Master’s degree preferred. Minimum 5 years of practical EHS experience in manufacturing or engineering environments. Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and environmental standards. Proficiency in MS Office and EHS reporting tools (Power BI, Ariba). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to influence at all levels. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to drive change and innovation. Experience managing audits, investigations, and compliance programs. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and deliver results with ownership and accountability. What’s next
