We’re seeking an entry-level

HSE Coordinator

to support day-to-day safety, environmental, and occupational health programs across our Chattanooga operations. This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone starting their HSE career who is eager to learn, collaborate with operations and HR, and help maintain a safe, compliant workplace aligned with

OSHA regulations

and

ISO 14001 environmental management standards . Safety Program Support:

Assist with hazard identification, job safety analyses (JSAs), risk assessments, and safety observations in compliance with

OSHA standards . Training & Onboarding:

Coordinate new-hire safety orientation; maintain training records; help schedule and track regulatory and refresher trainings. Incident Reporting:

Support incident/near‑miss reporting, basic root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking; maintain OSHA logs (300/300A/301) under guidance. Inspections & Audits:

Conduct routine inspections of work areas, equipment, PPE, emergency systems, and housekeeping; document findings and follow‑up. Environmental Compliance:

Perform basic tasks such as waste labeling, weekly accumulation area checks, spill kit inspections, and recordkeeping (e.g., hazardous waste manifests), under supervision and in alignment with

ISO 14001 requirements . Data & Documentation:

Maintain HSE metrics, dashboards, procedures, SDS library, and compliance calendars; prepare simple reports for leadership. Employee Engagement:

Help drive safety communications (toolbox talks, bulletin boards, digital signage) and support committees (Safety Committee, Wellness). Contractor & Visitor Safety:

Assist with contractor vetting and site orientations; ensure permits and documentation are in order. Emergency Preparedness:

Support drills, equipment checks, and readiness plans. Requirements

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Public Health, or related field OR 1–2 years of relevant experience/internship/co‑op in HSE, manufacturing, construction, or similar. Working knowledge of basic OSHA safety concepts; familiarity with ISO 14001 environmental management systems a plus. Use appropriately and responsibly the personal protective equipment required for their position. Strong attention to detail; solid written/verbal communication; comfortable in the field on the shop floor. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Teams, SharePoint) for recordkeeping and reporting. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., walk/stand for extended periods, and don required PPE in production/warehouse environments. Know and understand the group’s environmental objectives. Know and understand the group’s policy and principals in terms of MA management. Know and understand the most significant environmental aspects of the work center.
