Minimum Qualifications
PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
Additional Requirements
Must be able to fund ≥90% of salary from current research contracts and grants with continued expectation at this level.
Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, and/or Certification
At least 5 years of postdoctoral experience conducting research on the structure and function of proteins and training PhD students in the laboratory and computational analysis of the structure and function of proteins.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and/or Competencies
Ability to conduct wet lab and computational analysis for the structure and function of kinases.
Background Investigation Policy Offers of employment are contingent upon completion of a background investigation including, a criminal background check demonstrating eligibility for employment with the University of Georgia; confirmation of credentials and employment history reflected in application materials; and, if applicable, a satisfactory credit check. Pre-employment drug testing may be required for applicable high-risk positions.
Duties/Responsibilities Research Scientist combining wet lab and computational approaches to analysis and understanding of protein structure and function. 100% of time dedicated to research.
