Where You Will Work Our Emergency Department New Graduate Academy is a structured transition‑to‑practice program designed to help new nurses build confidence, competence, and clinical expertise in a fast‑paced ED setting. The program includes a comprehensive orientation with dedicated preceptors, simulation‑based labs, and focused clinical skills training. Class time is integrated with unit experience to ensure you’re well‑prepared for independent practice. During onboarding, you’ll also earn life support and resuscitation certifications. The Emergency Department at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is a Level I adult and pediatric trauma center that provides emergency healthcare for all types of injuries and illnesses, from life‑threatening conditions such as heart attacks or strokes to flu and viral illnesses.
Expectations We’re Looking For
Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS are required within 6 months of hire
What You’ll Do • As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence‑based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
