Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiovascular ICU

Winston-Salem, NC, United States

Where You Will Work:

The Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit is a fast‑paced 28 bed unit that cares for all cardiac‑related patients. Our brand‑new state‑of‑the‑art unit focuses on providing amazing cardiac care to our critical patients but makes families aware that their loved ones are receiving the best in the Triad. This includes the medical and surgical patient population. These patients come with many challenges and opportunities to learn and grow as a nurse. You can expect to see patients with advanced heart failure, heart transplants, post‑arrest hypothermia, coronary bypass grafting, and much more. The devices you will get to work with include: IABP (Intra‑Aortic Balloon Pump), pacemaker/ICD, Impella, LVAD (Left Ventricular Assist Device), ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) and Advanced Hemodynamic Monitoring.

Expectations We’re Looking For:

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing

Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

ACLS are required within 6 months of hire

What You’ll Do:

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

Using evidence‑based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
