The Retention Marketing Specialist will own strategies that keep customers engaged and coming back. This includes managing email and SMS campaigns, loyalty programs, subscription retention initiatives, and retargeting efforts to reduce churn and increase lifetime value. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, data-driven, and eager to learn our proven methodology for building long-term customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute email and SMS marketing campaigns to engage existing customers and drive repeat purchases.

Manage and optimize the loyalty program, ensuring members receive timely rewards and personalized offers.

Oversee subscription retention strategies, including renewal campaigns and churn reduction initiatives.

Implement retargeting campaigns focused on cart abandonment and lapsed customers to increase conversion and lifetime value.

Segment customer lists and personalize messaging based on behavior, purchase history, and engagement data.

Monitor campaign performance and report on key retention metrics (repeat purchase rate, churn, CLV).

Collaborate with creative and merchandising teams to align messaging with product priorities and promotions.

Stay current on best practices for lifecycle marketing, loyalty, and retention strategies.

Qualifications

Experience: 1–3 years in retention, lifecycle, or CRM marketing, with hands‑on experience in email and SMS campaign management.

Technical Skills: Familiarity with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Klaviyo, Attentive, or similar), segmentation, and personalization strategies.

Retention Expertise: Understanding of loyalty programs, subscription models, and churn reduction tactics (e.g., Loyalty Lion, Recharge).

Analytical Ability: Ability to interpret engagement metrics (open rates, CTR, repeat purchase rate, churn) and optimize campaigns based on data.

Tools: Experience with A/B testing, customer segmentation, and retargeting platforms.

Soft Skills: Detail-oriented, adaptable, and eager to learn and apply structured methodologies.

Must Have: Experience in e-commerce or DTC Shopify brands is a plus.
