Compensation:
$80,000–$110,000/yr

Position Summary We are seeking a Senior Billing Lead as a newly defined role within a manufacturing organization. This role will lead Accounts Receivable, Billing, Collections, and Credit functions while supporting an ERP implementation and helping transition the team from a manual environment to a more automated, scalable process. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on AR leadership experience, ERP implementation exposure, and the ability to build structure, define processes, and drive measurable improvements in DSO and cash flow.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee Accounts Receivable, Billing, Collections, and Credit functions
Manage AR invoicing, cash applications, remittances, ACH transactions, and payment matching
Support and assist with ERP implementation
Help transition AR processes from manual workflows to a more automated environment
Develop, redefine, and document AR and billing processes and best practices
Lead collections efforts, including customer follow‑ups, internal escalations, and handling more complex accounts
Evaluate and manage customer credit, including issuing credit and establishing a formal credit evaluation process
Review and improve overall AR invoice and billing processes
Monitor, analyze, and report on DSO, AR aging, and related metrics
Present DSO and AR performance reporting to the CFO
Train, mentor, and help develop AR team members during the transition period
Partner closely with accounting and leadership to drive operational improvements
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
Senior‑level experience in AR, Billing, Collections, and Credit leadership
Proven experience supporting or leading ERP implementations
Strong understanding of AR processes, cash application, collections, and credit management
Experience working with DSO metrics, reporting, and AR aging analysis
Ability to operate in a fast‑paced, evolving environment with change management
Comfortable redefining roles, building processes, and training teams
Confident communicator with the ability to work cross‑functionally and escalate issues as needed
Background in manufacturing or distribution preferred
