Intake Specialist – QMHP Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHP) who provide clinical assessment services to individuals diagnosed with severe mental illnesses, co‑occurring substance use disorders, and/or chronic health conditions. Intake specialists determine eligibility, coordinate ongoing care, and apply a person‑centered, trauma‑informed, recovery‑focused approach to build therapeutic relationships with racially and culturally diverse clients.

Responsibilities

Assess psychiatric needs and gather psychosocial history.

Evaluate individual strengths, needs, and goals and define desired life outcomes.

Coordinate and manage client crises as they arise.

Identify service gaps and advocate with providers to ensure appropriate and adequate services.

Provide living skills training to clients under the supervision of an LPHA for master‑level clinicians who pursue advance licensure.

Maintain a predictable, flexible attendance schedule and comply with general supervision of the unit manager and/or LPHA supervisor.

Education

Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Licenses & Experience

Current valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.

Bilingual preferred.

Hours & Salary Full‑time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Salary $24.18 – $25.39 per hour based on education.
