The ACSW Clinician independently provides highly skilled direct clinical social work evaluations and treatment with adult individuals in crisis with complex behavioral and social problems through comprehensive clinical assessments. Duties

Independently provide direct clinical social work evaluations and treatment for adults in crisis with complex behavioral and social problems through comprehensive clinical assessments Partner with law enforcement in on-scene crisis response, guiding de-escalation and connecting individuals to treatment Provide ongoing training and consultation to law enforcement on mental illness, trauma, and substance use Assist the Police Department in navigating systems and connecting clients to community resources Provide follow-up care and coordinate post-crisis support to reduce repeat encounters Collaborate with the Bridgeport Police Department on community trust-building activities Conduct crisis assessments and interventions, including risk management Maintain documentation for all served clients Enhance communication across the local behavioral health system Provide emergency certification to transport clients for assessment and intervention Educate local providers and law enforcement on behavioral health issues and services Provide direct clinical care in community and criminal justice settings Minimum Qualifications

General Experience: One (1) year of experience as a licensed clinical social worker. Preferred Qualifications

Experience writing emergency certificates Experience assessing and conducting risk management in Mobile Crisis or similar settings Experience with co-occurring disorders, trauma, and medical conditions Experience providing community-based behavioral health services Experience providing education and training to community providers, families, and law enforcement Experience working with law enforcement in the community Special Requirements

Must possess and retain a license to practice clinical social work (Connecticut) Eligibility for participation in federal health care programs as defined in 42 U.S.C. May require sign language or Spanish communication abilities in designated positions May require travel About Us
