The Certified Payroll Clerk ensures compliance with the Davis‑Bacon Act and related laws by ensuring employees are paid prevailing wages on federally funded projects. Key Duties

Review Certified Payroll for accuracy, including Statement of Compliance, Wage and Hour Record, Deduction Record, and Fringe Benefit Record. Verify that no pertinent information (e.g., dates, signatures, subcontractor names, job info) is missing. Confirm correct dates and amounts per approved wage tables for each specific job. Validate total amounts (project gross, weekly gross, deductions, net pay). Assist subcontractors in completing Certified Payrolls. Resolve Department of Transportation inquiries in a timely manner. Maintain knowledge of electronic filing systems (LCP tracker, MARS, and Elations). Demonstrate strong organizational and time‑management skills. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualification Requirements

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) plus two years of administrative work; additional construction administration experience preferred. Previous experience as a Certified Payroll Clerk is required. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Well‑organized, detail oriented, and able to meet deadlines. Capable of working with constant interruptions. Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint). SAP experience is a plus. Valid driver’s license with clean driving record. Physical Demands

Periodic standing, stooping, bending, and crouching during an eight‑hour shift. Ability to lift up to 15 lb frequently and carry up to 10 lb. Work Environment

Primary indoor work, with occasional site visits to construction or asphalt manufacturing facilities. Typical office noise level is quiet. Company Benefits
