Position: Mobility Technician, Acute Hospital
Schedule: 8‑hour shifts, weekend and holiday coverage, PRN days.

Job Overview
The Mobility Technician assists clinical staff and the interprofessional health‑care team under direct supervision. Responsibilities include patient mobility, transporting patients, and basic clerical functions. The role requires safe judgment and adherence to departmental guidelines to ensure patient safety and customer service.
Essential Functions
Work collaboratively with nursing staff and physicians, providing assistance to patients based on needs.
Organize materials and supplies before patient arrival, including cleaning, disinfecting, and gathering equipment.
Assist with equipment storage and supply procurement, keeping hallways and rooms clear.
Respond to patient falls.
Model behaviors and skills, contributing to patient satisfaction scores.
Support initiatives to prevent pressure injuries, falls, and infections through infection‑control processes and hand‑hygiene audits.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills
Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently.
Capacity to work in a stressful environment and respond appropriately.
Flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and holidays.
Education / Certification
High school diploma or equivalent.
One year of experience as a Patient Care Assistant, Nursing Assistant in an acute or long‑term care setting, or six months of therapy experience (PT/OT/Rehab Tech), or a nursing student who has completed first clinical rotation.
