Job Summary:
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring materials and products are properly tracked throughout the warehouse. This role involves performing cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and collaborating with warehouse and production teams to maintain accurate inventory data.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily and weekly cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
Track incoming and outgoing materials, products, and supplies.Update and maintain accurate inventory records in warehouse management systems.
Support shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment as needed.
Conduct audits and assist with year-end physical inventory.
Follow all safety and quality procedures.
Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
Qualifications
Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse, or logistics required.
Experience using inventory or warehouse management systems (WMS) preferred.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate warehouse equipment if needed (reach truck, pallet jack, etc.).
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Basic computer proficiency (Excel, data entry).
