The Student Employee Blood Bank will provide support to Blood Bank operations by assisting with specimen handling, inventory management, and customer service in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Qualifications
HS Diploma/GED Must be a current student in a Medical Laboratory Science program Job Requirements
Provide direct patient care by supplying the patient with appropriate blood components Issue blood and blood components to the floors Understand the importance of massive trauma and to issue blood and blood components as set forth in the Massive Transfusion Protocol Communicate effectively with the Blood Bank customers including physicians, nurses, and other UAMS staff members Receive samples and to ensure all samples are appropriately labeled and collected properly for the Blood Bank Perform other duties as needed. Salary Information
