Department Overview The Department of Construction Management is a team of interdisciplinary faculty and staff committed to educating future professionals in the construction industry. The department offers majors, minors, and graduate programs in Construction Management and related fields.

Position Summary The successful candidate will teach a broad range of graduate and undergraduate courses in construction management, with an emphasis on building materials, construction graphics, cost estimating, planning & scheduling, construction safety, design‑build project delivery, project controls, and preconstruction services. Candidates with expertise in generative design, lean construction, BIM, robotics, automation, and data sciences are strongly encouraged. Other responsibilities include student advising and supervision, and collaboration with a diverse student and faculty community.

Instructor Responsibilities Temporary faculty members will adhere to university and system policies and will prepare, deliver, and grade lectures, office hours, assignments, quizzes, projects, and exams. All classes must be offered and meet as scheduled throughout the entire semester, in the mode assigned.

Compensation Salary commensurate with qualifications, within the CSU salary range for Class Code 2358. For a Master’s degree holder, monthly rate ranges from $5,507 to $6,677 for 15 WTUs, adjusted based on assigned WTUs.

Anticipated Semester

Fall 2025: August 18 2025 – December 22 2025

Spring 2026: January 15 2026 – May 22 2026

Required Qualifications Education

– Earned Master’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field (or MBA with relevant bachelor’s). Experience



Demonstrated commitment to excellence built on merit, talent, diversity, accessibility, and equal opportunity for all.

Evidence of professional experience.

Experience in both design and construction development practice and teaching related topics.

Preferred Qualifications

Successful graduate‑level teaching experience (evidence through evaluations or other evidence).

Teaching experience in construction management at the undergraduate level.

Expertise in design‑build and collaborative project delivery methods.
