Responsibilities
Identify and count insects using a microscope.
Assist in collecting leaf and insect samples from pecan orchards across South Georgia.
Maintain pecan orchards at UGA Ponder farm.
Assist in creating field trials and installing or setting up traps in the field.
Scout pecan orchards, travel to collect samples across South Georgia, and perform other entomological field research duties.
Qualifications
High School Diploma preferred.
Physical Demands and Requirements Driving required. Must spend hours working with a microscope, work outside in the heat, and stand/walk on feet for long periods.
