Monitor Technician – Lifepoint Health®
Join our Health Support Center (HSC) team and support patients and community members by monitoring their vital signs, maintaining and documenting telemetry data, and providing timely alerts to nursing staff.
Job Location Type: In‑person.
Responsibilities
Performs continual surveillance of multiple monitors.
Initiates and discontinues monitoring equipment on admission, transfer, or discharge.
Performs clerical duties related to admission, transfer, discharge and documentation of patient information in the central system.
Reports abnormal assessment and telemetry findings to nursing staff.
Maintains ongoing observation of all patients’ cardiac rhythms and notifies nursing/providers of any rate/rhythm changes.
Measures and interprets heart rhythm and documents as part of patient’s record per departmental standards.
Qualifications
High school diploma required.
Basic Life Support within 3 months of hire.
Completion of Telemetry Education Course within 3 months of hire.
Previous monitor technician and/or direct patient care experience preferred.
