Transplant Nurse Coordinator-Autologous, CAR-T, and TIL Therapy Team

Description
The RN Transplant Coordinator is an integral member of UCLA Health’s Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program and is responsible for comprehensive care coordination for oncology patients undergoing Autologous stem cell transplantation, as well as CAR‑T and Tumor Infiltrating Lymphocyte (TIL) therapies. This role collaborates closely with a team of six Adult and Pediatric RN Coordinators, including those supporting Allogeneic transplantation and Gene Therapies.
This is a highly specialized and complex position that requires prior experience in Bone Marrow Transplantation and/or Cellular Therapy. The RN Transplant Coordinator oversees and coordinates all aspects of the pre‑transplant and cellular therapy work‑up process, including lab testing, diagnostic imaging, biopsies, and other required evaluations. Key responsibilities also include placing and tracking referrals, providing comprehensive education to patients and caregivers regarding the transplant and cellular therapy process, connecting patients with appropriate resources and proactively identifying and addressing barriers to care. While this role requires a high degree of autonomy and clinical expertise, the RN Transplant Coordinator is supported by a collaborative, multidisciplinary team that includes Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Pharmacists, dedicated Insurance Coordinators and Financial Counselors, and fellow Nurses - all whoare united in advancing cutting‑edge cellular therapies and optimizing patient outcomes.

Salary range:$171,905-$231,099 (annually)
Qualifications
Current California Registered Nurse license, graduation from an accredited nursing program with a B.S. degree or Master's and 5 years of relevant RN experience with a combination of critical care and or transplant experience, required
BLS Certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association, required
5 years relevant BMT and cell therapy experience, required
OCN or BMTCN/TCTCN Certification, required
Skill in developing a plan of care including setting goals, monitoring and documenting progress
Ability to implement interventions that are pertinent to goals established in the plan of care
Ability to evaluate the effective of interventions toward the attainment of established goals and to recognize the need to reassess or reset goal parameters
Ability to delegate tasks in a management style that is consistent with promoting leadership and teamwork
Demonstrated proficiency to provide education to patients, families, and other staff regarding clinical and patient care issues
