As our
Fitness Manager , you’ll play a pivotal role in launching and shaping the first of four franchised BODYBAR studios from the ground up. You’ll lead with energy, expertise, and a deep command of the BODYBAR Method—owning class programming, developing and mentoring instructors, and optimizing class utilization to drive member engagement and retention. As a culture-builder and experience-creator, you’ll help bring the studio to life through thoughtful programming, inspired coaching, and a connected community. The Role
Deliver powerful class experiences
by teaching approximately 15 BODYBAR Pilates classes each week, bringing energy, consistency, and community to every session. Lead with a service-first mindset
by creating standout member experiences rooted in professionalism, positivity, and connection. Build a high-performing instructor team
by recruiting, onboarding, mentoring, and supporting talent to ensure top-tier, consistent class delivery. Collaborate on studio growth
by partnering with the owner and Studio Manager to drive sales, foster local partnerships, and lead outreach efforts that grow the BODYBAR community. Own the class schedule
by strategically building and managing the lineup to meet client demand, support instructors, and maximize engagement. Drive performance through data
by tracking metrics and using KPIs to inform decisions and continuously elevate studio operations. Oversee equipment readiness
by managing maintenance needs, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating repairs or replacements to keep the studio running smoothly. Fuel a strong studio culture
by actively engaging with members before, during, and after class to foster connection and build lasting community. What You’ll Need to Succeed
5+ years of experience in the fitness industry, including at least 2 years in a Fitness Manager, Head Instructor, or Group Fitness leadership role. Background in Pilates or group fitness instruction within a boutique fitness studio environment. One or more required: 500‑hour Pilates certification, accredited group fitness or personal training certification, or a degree in Exercise Science or related field. Proven experience in class programming, schedule management, and optimizing class utilization to drive engagement and retention. Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, mentor, and lead instructors to deliver consistent, high-quality classes. Comfortable using data, KPIs, and performance metrics to inform decisions and improve studio performance. Passionate about Pilates, wellness, and creating exceptional member experiences.
