We are expanding our community and seeking a warm, dedicated, and fully certified Montessori Infant & Toddler Teacher to join our team.
Position Summary The Assistant Montessori Teacher will guide children ages 18 months - 3 years in a thoughtfully prepared Montessori environment. This role requires a deep appreciation of Montessori philosophy, a passion for supporting children’s development, and the ability to create a calm, respectful, and engaging classroom culture.
Key Responsibilities
Support the lead teacher in maintaining a beautiful, orderly, and developmentally appropriate Montessori environment.
Guide, observe, and support children in their growth and independence.
Foster strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Ensure the physical, emotional, and social well-being of all children in the classroom.
Speak to children with respect and implement the positive discipline model of classroom management.
Maintain accurate records of children’s progress and daily routines using ProCare.
Collaborate with team members to uphold a positive, professional, and supportive school culture.
Follow all licensing, safety, and school policies.
Engage in professional development to gain a deeper understanding of Montessori best practices.
Qualifications
Montessori Infant/Toddler Certification (AMI, AMS, or equivalent) preferred
Experience working with children ages birth to 3 years old preferred.
Strong understanding of Montessori principles and child development.
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A nurturing, patient, and collaborative approach with children and adults.
Must speak English fluently
EEC certificate essentials obtained
