The Warehouse Sanitation team is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the warehouse environment. This role involves routine cleaning of warehouse floors, shelves, restrooms, equipment, and other designated areas to ensure a safe, organized, and sanitary workspace. Workers in this team must follow health and safety protocols, manage cleaning supplies, and use equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, and pressure washers. Attention to detail, the ability to follow cleaning schedules, and adherence to safety regulations are critical in this role to prevent accidents, contamination, and promote overall operational efficiency. Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping practices in all areas of the warehouse, keeping slots clean and clear of debris.
Transport trash and waste to tilt truck and disposal area.
Follow all company rules and regulations.
Work in a team environment.
Must wear approved safety shoes.
Qualifications
Previous experience in warehouse/distribution center.
Ability to read, speak and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Must have a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
Physical Environment
Work in a refrigerated warehouse with temperatures ranging from -20°F to 55°F.
Work in a non-refrigerated warehouse with temperatures ranging from 40°F to 90+°F.
Must be able to work shifts as assigned such as weekends, holidays and mandatory overtime.
Must be able to operate an electric pallet jack, manual pallet jack, and/or other miscellaneous equipment.
Stooping, squatting, walking, reaching, bending, twisting, and lifting may be required.
