Dr. Tsai-Yi Lu's laboratory at the Department of Neuroscience is seeking an experienced and skillful postdoctoral scholar to support research projects studying the homeostasis of oligodendrocyte lineage cells in brain health and disease.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this position include conducting independent research to understand the molecular mechanisms behind metabolically driven oligodendrogenesis. Other responsibilities include assisting lab mouse colony maintenance, training personnel, preparing manuscripts presenting original research results for peer review and communicating with collaborators to complete the designated research projects. Full-time research or scholarship at the University. Preparatory for a full-time academic or research career. Supervised by a senior scholar, and allows the appointee to publish the results of his/her research or scholarship. In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned. Minimum Qualifications
Education: Doctoral degree Physical Demands
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs. Position Type & Work Location
