Offer Description The main objective of these contracts is the training of research staff through the completion of a doctoral thesis associated with the funded research project, under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI) at the University of Cádiz.
The selection process guarantees the principles of competition, publicity, transparency, equality, merit, and capacity.
Experience in field sampling and necropsies of tuna species.
Proven experience in writing scientific articles, including serving as corresponding author.
Experience in programming in R.
Specific training in genetic analysis.
Experience using freeze-dryers (lyophilizers).
Training in the use of spreadsheets (Excel) and statistical software packages.
Experience in conducting science outreach activities/workshops.
Driving license (B category).

University education in the field of health sciences, with desirabledemonstrable knowledge of biological and psychobiologicalprocesses involved in pain and comorbidities associated withcancer patients.
Proven experience in clinical or translational research, includingparticipation in clinical trials and handling of patient samples anddata.
Accredited training in ethical and legal aspects of the managementand use of human biological samples, in accordance with currenthealth research regulations.
Demonstrated experience in biological mechanisms related to theunderstanding and modulation of chronic pain mechanisms inpatients.
Proven ability to integrate clinical, physiological, and behavioralpatient data, with proficiency in statistical tools (SPSS, R, GraphPad, Excel).
Scientific publications in JCR-indexed journals (Q1/Q2)demonstrating research maturity and competence.
Certified proficiency in English (C1 level), suitable forinternational scientific communication and dissemination.oResearch stays at national and international research centers.
Driver’s license for travel between hospitals.
Previous experience in the clinical and hospital sector, as well asin research institutes, research contracts, and a multidisciplinaryresearch profile will be valued.
