Bear Brook Lactation & Feeding Center , a new boutique specialty focused on advanced lactation and infant feeding support.
This center will collaborate closely with
the New Jersey Tongue-Tie Center , a recognized leader in oral restriction evaluation and treatment. Together, these practices form a highly regarded, interdisciplinary ecosystem that supports complex feeding cases through ethical, evidence-based, and family-centered care.
This role offers a unique opportunity to join a well-established and highly respected organization at an early stage of a new specialty initiative. International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)

Role Overview As an IBCLC at
Bear Brook Lactation & Feeding Center , you will provide comprehensive lactation and feeding support, including initial consultations, follow-up visits, and therapy-style feeding sessions when indicated. Care is delivered in a calm, modern, and supportive environment designed to prioritize both clinical excellence and family experience.
This is an part-time, per-diem position, initially offering one half-day per week, with the opportunity to expand as the program grows.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive lactation and infant feeding consultations
Provide follow-up and therapy-style feeding sessions as clinically indicated
Support pre- and post-frenectomy feeding function in collaboration with the New Jersey Tongue‑Tie Center
Educate and coach parents with warmth, clarity, and confidence
Develop individualized, goal-oriented feeding plans
Document care clearly and professionally
Collaborate with other providers as part of an integrated care model
Qualifications Required
Active
International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)
credential
Experience providing outpatient lactation and feeding support
Strong communication skills and a calm, reassuring bedside manner
Alignment with a high-end, patient-experience-focused clinical environment
Not Required
RN or nursing license is NOT required
Preferred
Experience with complex feeding cases and post-frenectomy support
Interest in long-term growth, leadership, or program development
Compensation & Schedule
Hourly Rate:
$50–$60 per hour , based on experience and scope of responsibilities
Schedule: Initially
one half-day per week (Tuesday, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM)
Opportunity to add additional days as demand grows
This is a per-diem role focused on scheduled clinic hours
