Vice President of Finance (or CFO)
This leader will be responsible for professionalizing financial systems, overseeing reporting, partnering cross-functionally to influence operational decisions, and preparing the company for potential future strategic transactions. This is an ideal role for a hands-on finance leader who has operated in fast-growth CPG environments and is excited to architect the financial engine of a brand poised for scale.
Base pay range $250,000.00/yr - $300,000.00/yr

Responsibilities Build & Own the Finance Function
Create our internal finance organization, bringing key functions in-house currently managed externally (accounting, order-to-cash/EDI, reporting).
Lead financial planning, budgeting, monthly close, and forecasting processes.
Ensure accurate, timely reporting and visibility into revenue, margins, cash flow, and channel-level performance.
Drive Financial Strategy & Operational Rigor
Partner with Sales, Ops, and Supply Chain on pricing, trade spend, demand planning, and S&OP processes.
Develop dashboards and KPIs to guide the business and strengthen decision-making.
Lead 2026 planning and build forward-looking models for various growth scenarios.
Implement Systems & Processes
Assess, select, and lead implementation of an ERP (currently operating in QuickBooks).
Establish standard operating procedures, internal controls, and scalable financial infrastructure.
Reduce close timelines and improve accuracy of accounting and reporting.
Prepare for Future Transaction Readiness
Build diligence-ready processes and documentation.
Evaluate risks and blind spots; anticipate what strategic acquirers will care about.
Support the CEO in shaping strategic financial narratives and long-term optionality.
Build & Develop a High-Performing Team
Hire and manage a Controller, FP&A Analyst, and AP/AR support.
Develop a lean but scalable organization that supports future growth and transaction processes.
Experience & Capabilities
Senior finance leader (VP or emerging CFO) with experience in consumer packaged goods, ideally food & beverage.
Proven ability to build finance functions from the ground up in high-growth or early-stage environments.
Experience supporting or leading a transaction, ideally a sale to a strategic acquirer.
Strong accounting foundation with fluency across FP&A, reporting, forecasting, and operational finance.
Experience assessing and implementing ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or similar).
Ability to manage the full P&L and drive margin improvement through operational partnership.
Hands‑on builder who thrives in lean, entrepreneurial environments.
Highly analytical but equally comfortable in the details.
Strong communicator who can partner cross-functionally and influence decisions.
Comfortable with ambiguity and energized by creating structure where none exists.
Team-first mindset with the ability to recruit, develop, and mentor a growing finance organization.
