Quality Manager
A leading, high-volume manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced
Quality Manager
to lead plant-level quality strategy, systems, and execution. This role is responsible for ensuring product quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations while serving as a key partner to Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain.
The ideal candidate is a hands‑on quality leader with deep experience in automotive manufacturing, strong customer‑facing capabilities, and a proven track record of driving quality performance in complex production environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and maintain the plant Quality Management System in compliance with
IATF 16949 ,
ISO 9001 , and customer‑specific requirements
Own plant quality KPIs including PPM, scrap, rework, warranty, and customer scorecards
Serve as the primary quality interface for OEM and Tier‑1 customers, including audits, launches, and issue resolution
Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions using structured problem‑solving methodologies (8D, 5‑Why, Fishbone, etc.)
Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure robust process controls and continuous improvement
Lead internal and external audits, including customer, third‑party, and internal system audits
Support new product launches through APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and Control Plan development
Manage, coach, and develop the quality team (quality engineers, technicians, inspectors)
Champion a culture of quality, accountability, and operational excellence throughout the plant
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical discipline
8–12+ years of quality leadership experience in automotive or high‑volume manufacturing
Strong working knowledge of
IATF 16949 ,
Core Tools
(APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA), and customer requirements
Experience managing customer relationships and leading quality responses at a senior level
Proven ability to lead teams, influence cross‑functional partners, and drive change
Hands‑on, data‑driven, and comfortable in a fast‑paced production environment
