The Department of Family Medicine (FM) at the University of Virginia (UVA) School of Medicine seeks applications for
Assistant Professor & Physician Lead - UVA Employee Primary Care . The successful candidate will serve as the Family Medicine physician lead/medical director at the Employee Primary Care clinic. The medical director serves as the clinician who oversees and guides the care that is provided, a leader to help define a vision of quality improvement, an operations consultant to address day-to-day aspects of organizational function, and a direct supervisor and consultant to Advance Practice Providers practicing in this location.
Position Details
Lead Physician to provide access to a full suite of comprehensive in-person and virtual health and wellness services for the employees of UVA and UVA Health.
Join a staff of 4+ Providers
7-8 outpatient sessions per week
9-12 patients per session
APC Collaboration
Full medical staff with RN's MA's and LPN's
NO call except for providers participating in Inpatient or OB care
EPIC EMR
POC Testing Onsite
Provide access to a full suite of comprehensive in-person and virtual health and wellness services for the employees of UVA and UVA Health.
Supervision and teaching of medical students and Residents
Qualifications
MD or DO
Board-Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine by either the American Board of Family Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians by the start date.
Committed to providing excellent patient care.
Preference will be given to candidates who practice obstetrics, have experience with care of hospitalized patients, those with procedural or POCUS experience and have residency teaching experience or have completed a fellowship in family medicine.
