Estimated Pay Range $68,000 – $72,000
Job Summary As a Process Engineer in Manitowoc, WI, you will play a key role in optimizing production workflows and supporting the integration of new fabrication technologies; apply hands‑on experience in metal manufacturing processes to improve throughput, quality, and consistency; lead process development and optimization for laser cutting, forming, welding, and related fabrication operations; evaluate current operations, identify safety risks, and implement solutions that promote a safe and efficient work environment; drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies, data analysis, and root‑cause problem solving; support fixture design, development, and implementation; collaborate with suppliers, equipment vendors, and internal partners; assist with new product introductions and ensure manufacturability within metal fabrication processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering required
2+ years of engineering experience in a metal fabrication environment preferred; internships and co‑ops considered
Experience with laser cutting, CNC fabrication equipment, or sheet‑metal processes
Knowledge of fixture design, implementation, and optimization
Experience in Lean manufacturing techniques, capability studies, process mapping, FMEA, and root‑cause analysis
Creo and/or AutoCAD experience a strong plus
Skills and Values
