We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair a fleet of heavy‑duty trucks, mixers, and construction equipment. This role requires strong diagnostic skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while ensuring safety and compliance standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and major repairs on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and related components.
Diagnose mechanical issues and determine appropriate repair solutions.
Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
Maintain accurate service records and complete required documentation.
Ensure shop tools and equipment are properly maintained and secured.
Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations.
Supervise mechanic helpers and coordinate with shop leadership for workflow.
Operate company vehicles and transport equipment as needed.
Assist with miscellaneous tasks such as cleanup, supply runs, and supporting other team members.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum 5 years of experience in diesel engine repair and heavy equipment maintenance.
Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.
Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical troubleshooting, and welding basics.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Familiarity with safety standards and PPE requirements.
