What You’ll Do Your future starts here! As a
Plastics Process Engineer
based out of our Mission, TX facility, you will support production by troubleshooting processing issues that occur during scheduled shifts. Your focus will be to optimize manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and ensure product quality.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot process issues and lead efforts to reduce scrap.
Work within a cross‑functional team including maintenance, tooling, and production management.
Participate in and lead improvement project teams to enhance operational performance.
Contribute to corporate initiatives for cost reductions, quality improvements, and standardization.
Coach and support training and development of site supervisors.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Plastics Engineering, or related field.
3–5+ years of injection molding experience, including:
Solid understanding of injection mold tooling, gate/runner design, part ejection, and secondary equipment such as thermolators, dryers, hoppers, and feeder/mixing units.
Logical problem‑solving skills and willingness to engage directly with teams.
Experience with DOE and statistical tools such as 8D, 5Why, 4M, KT, etc.
Knowledge of scientific and decoupled molding practices.
Strong communication skills to convey technical solutions to team members.
Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
Strong robot programming and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with gas assist, two‑shot molding, RJG Edart/CoPilot systems is a plus.
Excellent organizational skills.
