KBW is partnered with a client in Burlington, VT, to support their search for an Accounting Associate. The Accounting Associate will support the organization’s financial operations by managing daily recordkeeping, routine reconciliations, and scheduled reporting. This role is fully onsite with a good faith salary range of $52,000 - $60,000.
Key Responsibilities
Organize and finalize daily financial documentation, ensuring that leadership receives accurate summaries and updates.
Input and update transaction activity within the company’s financial or reporting system.
Maintain a variety of ledger schedules and prepare daily snapshots or performance summaries as needed.
Conduct periodic (weekly and monthly) reconciliations for assigned accounts or schedules, resolving discrepancies promptly.
Perform additional administrative or accounting‑related tasks as assigned to support department efficiency.
Skills and Qualifications
Ideally 1–2 years of experience in an accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and comfort with standard office software, particularly spreadsheets.
Strong organizational abilities with a focus on accuracy, time management, and follow-through.
Effective communication skills and a professional, dependable work style.
Consistent and punctual attendance is necessary to meet workflow requirements and deadlines.
