Overview We're seeking a
HR Generalist
to serve as the onsite HR leader at our manufacturing facility. This individual will act as the primary HR contact for plant employees and managers, partnering with corporate HR to align site-level initiatives with company-wide objectives. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys working in a hands‑on, fast-paced environment and values both autonomy and corporate support.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the sole HR representative for the facility, supporting all HR functions including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, training, benefits, and performance management.
Partner with plant leadership to promote a positive, safe, and productive work environment.
Advise managers on employee relations issues, policy interpretation, and disciplinary actions.
Manage hourly and salaried recruiting efforts, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding coordination.
Support payroll, timekeeping, and attendance tracking in collaboration with corporate HR.
Administer benefits and leave programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws (FMLA, ADA, etc.).
Champion employee engagement initiatives and lead communication efforts within the plant.
Collaborate with corporate HR on compliance audits, reporting, and HR process improvements.
Ensure all HR policies and practices are effectively implemented at the site level.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
4-6 years of HR Generalist experience , ideally within a
manufacturing or industrial
environment.
Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with remote corporate partners.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
PHR or SHRM‑CP certification preferred.
