Responsibilities

Involved in all aspects of civil design for substations, including permitting, site work, structural and foundation design, and support of substation physical design and equipment layout.

Responsible for ethical decision‑making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct; adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Involved in all aspects of transmission line design for new lines, relocations, upgrades, and fiber optic additions.

Required Qualifications

BSCE (Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering) degree from an accredited university.

Strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel.

Legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship.

Occasional travel may be required depending on project‑specific requirements.

Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety, and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

0–1 year of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum 2.75 Grade Point Average (GPA).

Ideal coursework includes structural analysis, concrete design, steel design, soil mechanics, foundation design, and surveying.

Structural analysis design software experience is a plus.

Previous engineering design or drafting work experience, especially if related to civil and/or structural engineering, is desirable.

Engineer In Training (EIT) registration is desired.
