Diesel Technician/Mechanic!
The Diesel Technician is responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of medium to heavy duty fleet vehicles to ensure a safe and efficient operation. The position requires a high level of proficiency and working knowledge related to heavy duty diesel engine diagnosis and repair, a comprehension of fleet maintenance operations, understanding of electrical and preventive maintenance, and DOT inspection experience and knowledge.
Compensation Competitive hourly pay – $30–$40 hr., DOE (based on experience).
Shift Monday‑Friday, 10 am–6 pm, paid weekly on Friday.

Responsibilities
Prepare vehicle records and report manually and on a computer
Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on medium to heavy duty vehicles
Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare documentation
Comply with applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and procedures
Inspect and work on the under parts of vehicles
Move parts to and from job sites; install or remove on vehicles
Interact with clients via email or phone as needed
Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
At least 5 years’ experience performing vehicle maintenance or possession of an auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical school
Commercial Driver’s License class “A” or “B” preferredli>
Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle for troubleshooting
Must provide own hand tools and toolbox
Knowledge of handheld scan tools and vehicle diagnostics
Proficient computer skills, knowledge of Excel, Word, fleet management systems, and email
Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)
Working Conditions
Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing job duties
Exposure to dust, diesel fumes, and noise
Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases, or other irritants
Ability to access any area of the equipment or vehicle for maintenance
Ability to move and position heavy objects
Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, and crawl to repair vehicles
Ability to work outside in varying weather conditions
