Diesel Technician
in Springfield, VA. The position involves the timely repair and maintenance of medium to heavy‑duty fleet vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Compensation Competitive hourly pay – $34 to $44 depending on experience. Paid weekly, every Friday.
Shift Monday – Friday 6:00 am – 2:30 pm.

What the Diesel Technician role looks like
Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer
Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on medium to heavy‑duty trucks (diesel, gas, or electric hybrid)
Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation
Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
Inspect and perform work on underparts of vehicles
Move parts to and from the job site and install or remove these parts on vehicles
Interact with clients via email and phone as necessary
Perform other duties as required
What our ideal candidate looks like
At least 5 years of experience performing vehicle maintenance or a diploma in auto or diesel technology from an accredited technical school
Commercial Driver’s License class "A" or "B" preferred
Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine proper operation
Must provide own hand tools and toolbox
Knowledge of hand-held scan tools and vehicle diagnostic processes
Proficient computer skills, including Excel, Word, fleet management systems, and email
Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation and interaction with peers and supervisors
Work Conditions
Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing duties
Exposure to dust, diesel fumes, and noise
Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants
Access to any area of equipment or vehicle for necessary maintenance
Ability to move and position heavy objects
Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, and crawl to repair vehicles
Ability to work outside in various weather conditions
