Title: ELECTRICIAN
Status: Full‑time / 80 Hours per Pay Period
Facility: Miami Valley Hospital North
Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Weekends & Holidays)
Responsibilities An Electrician is responsible for performing a wide range of electrical repairs, preventive maintenance, monitoring, and testing of electrical equipment. The role requires upkeep, operation, cleanliness, and safety of all electrical equipment associated with the hospital infrastructure. The Electrician must ensure JCAHO requirements are completed and handle repair and preventive maintenance work, which may include fire alarm, electrical distribution, tube system, intercom, and various electrical equipment. The incumbent participates in department and craft meetings, follows correct safety work habits, and must be available on‑site for all emergencies, shutdowns, or repairs as requested.
Qualifications Education Minimum: High School completion / GED. Preferred: Associate degree, technical school, or apprenticeship program graduate.
Licensure / Certification / Registration Journeyman License preferred.
Experience Minimum: 1 – 3 years of job‑related experience; at least 2 years working in the electrical trade. Preferred: Hospital maintenance experience.
Additional Requirements Prior specific functional responsibilities: General construction / maintenance experience on plumbing systems, electrical systems, HVAC carpentry, and/or mechanical systems.
