Qualifications
School Building Leadership certification (required).
Master’s degree in Education Leadership or a related field.
Minimum 1 year of previous leadership experience (Assistant Principal, Dean, Grade Level Leader, etc.).
Minimum 5 years of successful teaching experience.
Track record of accomplishment and achievement related to staff and student growth and performance.
Experience with and commitment to improving the quality of urban education for historically underserved scholars.
Candidates who do not meet the above requirements will not be considered.
Responsibilities
Support instructional and school culture leadership.
Collaborate and foster professional relationships within the school community.
Pursue relentless excellence in student achievement, conduct, daily classroom instruction, and community engagement.
Maintain and exemplify a culture of high expectations and accountability for scholars and staff.
Assist in developing and administering discipline, conduct, and attendance policies.
Help faculty develop effective classroom instruction and management.
Assist in curriculum development to meet student needs.
Prepare required reports and paperwork (discipline, suspension, expulsion, discrimination complaints, injury reports, parent communications).
Assist in selecting and developing teaching and other staff.
Supervise and evaluate certified, paraprofessional, and support staff as assigned.
Assist in supervising special events including after‑school programs, Saturday academy, athletics.
Assist in the care and management of building, grounds, furniture, equipment, books, and supplies.
Compensation and Benefits
Starting salary: $150,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Health benefits: medical, dental, and vision insurance.
